Saddle Sore?

Friday, April 16, 2021 | Chiara Van Doorn | Edelweiss Bicycle Tours

Do you recognize the following? You are cycling for a while and then you get a sore seat. Or worse, after a long day in the saddle it feels like you'd rather not get on the bike the next day in that area….what can you do to prevent it?

There are multiple reasons that can cause the soreness. First, sometimes there is nothing wrong and your sit bones just to get used to the saddle. However, it could be the case you need to adjust the saddle. At Edelweiss Bicycle we always take care that our e-bikes are properly fitted to our customers at the beginning of every tour. As we have all tools with us, we are happy to make adjustments during the trip as well, just to make sure your e-bike experience is the best ever!

Secondly, find well fitting shorts or leggings that offer a layering of padding, the right fit is very important as it will avoid chaffing. Want to take it one step further? Anti-chaffing creams often include soothing ingredients like Aloe-Vera or Shea Butter.

We wish you happy cycling!
