Welcome to Tuscany! A small but select group from Mexico and Germany will be heading south tomorrow to discover the beauties of this famous region on the smallest of roads. The overture to this was the great dinner today and the fantastic ice cream that we treated ourselves to afterwards. Life could (and will!) continue like this...
Prelude
Riding Day No. 1: from Florence to Castelina in Chianti
Day 1 already challenged us: close to 70 kms and many, many long ascents - thank goodness for the electric support. We took the train out of Florence, then rode up into the Chianti hills. Scenery? Yes, spectacular!
